Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts in Wyoming is hands down one of the most picturesque locations for an artists’ residency–ever. Up at ~8000 feet, and surrounded by 15,000 acres of trails and incredible scenery, the place is awe-inspiring. The studios are well-equipped, the food is beyond incredible. I did a walk or hike nearly everyday and it took my breath away every time (not just because of the altitude, which is a real issue, btw). Highly recommend the hike to the top of Medicine Bow Peak (~11,800 feet)!
